His father was a street businessman who struggled to support the family. In early age Narendra and his brother sold-out tea at the bus station to assist out his parents. Modi completed his higher education in Vadnagar in 1967, where his teacher describes him as an average student and a keen debator, with interest in theater.Despite being an average student, Modi spent hours within the library and was called a robust arguer. In his early teens, he joined AkhilBharatiyaVidyarthiParishad, the scholar wing of RashtriyaSwayamsevakSangh (RSS), a Hindu 

nationalist party.
